So we found a new game that she likes to play. We are trying to get her to "talk" and this is one way we found that she enjoys.

Happy Halloween
We went to our churches Fall Festival last Wednesday and a friend of mine had a costume party on Saturday. So I made Kinsley's costume. I went as a simple as I could... a mermaid. Shane and I were black eyed peas. Oh, by the way she is 3 months. CRAZY!!
She's not too sure about this whole costume thing.
The 2nd time, she didn't seem to mind it.

Its Been So Long
Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Working and being a mom... let's just say I am having to redo all my schedules. It now takes me twice as long to get something done. Anyway, Kinsley is now 13 weeks. I can't believe it. She is getting so big to me anyway, she is only in the 10%. Cara, a friend of mine, had her baby 2 weeks ago. They are almost the same size in length and weight.

I just thought this one was cute. She spits up all the time so we surounded her with burp cloths.

Quick Update
Well, I am off the walker!!!!!
Kinsley is doing really well. She is now 7 weeks & weighs 8lbs 8oz. She is growing so fast. At night she will have 4 hour feeding cycles instead of 3. :) However during the day she is very clingy, but still precious.

What A Crazy Month
OK. I know it has been a month since I last posted anything, but what a month!! Well, Shane and I are now the proud parents of an adorable little girl.
Kinsley was born August 1st at 2:29pm. She weighed 5 lb. 14 oz. and was 19.25 in. long. It all started at 1:45am. I woke up and walked to the kitchen to get a class of water. Well... my water broke instead. I being a little unsure of what was going on, looked up online to see if my water broke or if I had wet myself. I called Shane to let him know what had happened. (By the way, he was in Oklahoma. 6 hrs away.) I drove myself to the hospital to get checked out. I checked in around 3:15am. By 4am I was dilated to a 4, so I called Shane to let him know and to get to the hospital as fast as he could. By 5:30am I was at a 7. Then everything stopped. Around 8:30am, after some pain meds that didn't really help, I decided to get an epidural. Life was so much better. Shane arrived around 9am:) Nathan, the drummer in his band, drove him down from Oklahoma only to drive himself back. Around 12:30pm it was time and at 2:29pm my life changed forever.
Here is where the story really gets crazy. After the epidural wore off, I still couldn't feel my legs. They called in the anesthesiologist and he couldn't figure out what was wrong, so he called a neurologist. Come to find out, during the 2 hours of pushing, I somehow managed to compress my femoral nerve. It controls the nerves for your quads, knee, and shin. So on August 5th they sent me to in-patient rehab. I stayed there until the 15th. Then I was stuck at home with home care rehab. Now I am going to out-patient rehab for 4 weeks. My right leg has regained all its feeling, but is not quite back to its full strength. My left leg is still numb from the top of the knee to the ankle, not including the calf muscle. Slowly I am getting back to normal and walking with a walker. I can't wait to be able to pick up Kinsley and just walk around holding her. Shane has been great. He has been taking care of both mother and daughter. God gave me such a wonderful husband!

Swelling :(
Swelling... I know that it is very common for pregnant women to swell. I also know that the heat of summer isn't going to help. Well since the past month has been in the triple digits my feet are swollen all the time. It can look pretty bad.
This is a picture was taken around 11pm the Friday Sonday's Camp was over (2 days ago). I had been at camp all week, but stayed off my feet as much as possible. That afternoon, I went to a friend's house and floated in her pool for 2 hours (which is suppose to help swelling). After dinner, we went to see Harry Potter. This was the result, which I have still not completely recovered from.
33 weeks
34 weeks
By the way, my Dr. measures my belly every 2 weeks. The past 3 times I have gone in to see her she has told me that I am measuring big but didn't say by how much. So when I went to see her right at 34 weeks, I asked "How big am I measuring?" She said I was measuring 3 weeks ahead, but it could be because I have a short torso and the baby has no where else to go but straight out. So at 37 weeks I am to go in for an ultrasound and they will actually measure the baby to see if she is big or if it is just the way I am carrying her. I'll let you know.

8 More Weeks!?!?!?!
I cannot believe I will be holding my baby girl in around 8 weeks. 32 weeks has flown by. Well, I'll keep it short today. Here are the pictures I promised.
Waco Shower:
This was the funniest gift I have ever received. The moment I touched the tissue the bag began to vibrate and make animal noises. It startled me enough let out a little yell. Then it wouldn't stop. It kept making noises and vibrating throughout the shower.
